Black Thumb? I Think Not!
Well, well, well, look at what we have here? I managed to successfully grow two plants! I've constantly joked that I have a "black thumb" meaning I kill everything green. But it looks like my black thumb may just be turning green!
The only problem is, my cats keep eating the leafy green plant. Curse them!

My coworker left me in charge of her little sapling plant when she left the company and I have taken such good care of it that I had to get it a bigger home and now it is threatening to take over even another pot. I had no idea I would be able to NOT kill it, but now I kind of which it would just slow down a little. Maybe I should get an office cat?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of plants are they? Be careful with the cat, some plants are toxic to animals. I know the one plant I have at home I have to keep away from my dogs.
ReplyDeleteBoomka- You can borrow one of my cats any day. They will be happy to eat your plants. But for a more permanent solution, you should adopt an actual office cat, and I would suggest a male. I like boy cats better than girls.
ReplyDeleteAmanda- Yes! You're right. When I purchased the leafy plant at the BBG (Brooklyn Botanic Garden) Store, the manager said that this was non-toxic to animals. But I should look it up! Also, the other budding plant is sage. Is that okay for cats?
ReplyDeleteI have a black thumb! We have loads of plants in the apartment and I'm not allowed to touch them or the fish tank. I have an overwhelming urge to overfeed things constantly, which is not so good for plants and fish. But totally okay for dogs and cats.
