A Shout Out to My "House Boyfriend"

Last night, as Ari and I went downstairs to spend some time with my parents, Wil stayed upstairs claiming that he was going to "clean." When he said "clean," I assumed that the word "clean" was code code for "playing video games." I'm merely basing this on my past experiences.

I am happy to report that I was wrong! When I arrived upstairs two hours later I found this**

And this:

And this:

this:

and finally, the kitchen floor looked like this up close:

Two of our permanent residents are still very happy with the results:

**These "clean" pictures were taken this morning. I was so shocked when I saw the results of his "playing video games" that I passed out last night.

  2. It is freakin' amazing! I couldn't think of what to call him. He's not a house husband. Therefore, he's a "house boyfriend." HA HA!

  6. That is awesome! I find myself telling my "house boyfriend" that if I am happy, he will be happy and coming home to a clean apartment is the best kind of happy! He still seems to choose the video games first though. The excuse I always get is "well I was going to start the cleaning after a round or two of Call of duty." HA! I think I will wait to make dinner until after a round or two of sad sappy movies and see how quickly things get moving.

  8. That is truly an accomplishment! I figured out long ago that it was just so much easier for me to just "do it" than to spend time and energy wondering about how awesome it would be if my husband would clean up the house. It's my *dream* to find this situation! - Stacey

  9. Stacey, I totally hear that. It's just, Wil is so much better at cleaning than I am. I admit it, I suck at it.
