The Waiting Game

Hanukkah is over, Christmas has past, and 2011 is fast approaching. I'm preoccupied with another matter, the impending arrival of my 2nd child. I'm so tired of being pregnant. Here the things associated with pregnancy that are irritating me the most at the moment:
  • The conspicuous egg-like attachment to the front of my body- yes, there's a person in there, and I know, I know "pregnancy is beautiful," but you know what? I'm over it! I want her out of my body and in the world. NOW!
  • My raging hormones and (consequently) pronounced and seemingly uncontrollable mood swings.
  • Hemorrhoids, one of them is so big that I think it could run for public office. I've asked it, aloud, to leave but it insists in belongs on me.
  • I'm exhausted and in constant pain in my back and legs all the time.
  • It takes me 80,000 times longer to get anywhere, because I have to waddle there as opposed to walking, driving or using public transportation.
I'm ready to take some castor oil and get this party started and I'm only 35 weeks.

For those of you that have been pregnant before, do you remember feeling this way?

  1. Yes! Being pregnant in the summer was the most terrible thing that ever was. Hot and fat: Not a good combo. Oh, and let's not forget the heartburn! Oh, and the sore back, and the mood swings. Men don't have shit on us!

  2. I think I would prefer pregnant in summer than winter because winter is so damn depressing. I never had issues getting anywhere when I was pregnant, I guess because I was always fat...what's another 20lbs, you know? It was almost like nothing to me, except sleeping was hard, and bending down to reach things. That said, you are ALMOST THERE!

  3. Goodness, yes, those last few weeks seem to draaaaagggg on!! And I agree with Amanda, I think that being pregnant in the winter would be much harder than summer (even though I was preggers in July in NC...which is the equivalent of being pregnant in Hell's swimming pool). But, at least I could get in the pool and I didn't have to worry about falling on snowy or icy sidewalks if I needed to go out. :( Just keep venting to us if you need to!! We will be here through any and all mood swings!

  4. Jenn- Men don't have shit on us it's true!

Amanda- That's really funny about the "another 20 lbs!" I'm over 180 now, which is heavier than I've been in my entire life.

Tina.Ari- WOW! Pregnant in the south in July, now that is intense!

  5. Oh I remember. Everyone thought I would go early with my second and I didn't. I ended up being a week late. I was so over being HUGE! I had to pee every 5 minutes.
Hope you get to meet your little one soon.
