I found that distraction did work, actually.

http://www.oldschoolnewschoolmom.com/2011/05/tell-me-storyon-toilet.htmlSarah Faderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00130247223287762814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-881889234584131192.post-86263895138470503062011-10-07T21:57:51.195-07:002011-10-07T21:57:51.195-07:00I just wrapped up day three with my own son, and i...I just wrapped up day three with my own son, and it has been intense to say the least! Day one and two he didn't go in the toilet at all! Finally today, he peed 4 times and pooped once. I found that with him, I need to wait until he is about to pop, then sit him on the toilet and distract him into staying on it a few minutes. I know the method advises against this, but it worked all day for me. I wonder how long before he just "goes" the instant he is put on it?? Good job sticking with it! I thought about buying diapers 100 times the last 3 days :)Alainahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15776442654366602182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-881889234584131192.post-70035043172065040612011-05-10T10:14:56.108-07:002011-05-10T10:14:56.108-07:00All I know is that I'm not looking forward to ...All I know is that I'm not looking forward to it!Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11901921122145191694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-881889234584131192.post-30355745005620662342011-05-09T14:36:08.943-07:002011-05-09T14:36:08.943-07:00Potty training is so intense. It's mentally and physically exhausting. I'm glad that I offered you the little push you needed to keep going, I knew you could do it...it's just taking the time and not trying to stress. You can't be half-assed about it. War Stories is such an appropriate title LOL! It really is like fighting a war against diapers....and poop....and pee...haha!Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00015035251674973186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-881889234584131192.post-38795009502077797842011-05-09T07:46:33.326-07:002011-05-09T07:46:33.326-07:00Oh I feel you girl!
